FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got Questions?  i've got Answers

It means I focus on real moments as they unfold, while gently keeping us on the timeline. Your final gallery will include a mix of very candid images and loosely guided moments, photos that feel natural, unforced, and true to how the day actually felt.

What does “documentary-style wedding photography” actually mean?

Experience. I’m constantly reading the energy of the moment. If something feels natural, I let it unfold. If guidance will elevate it, I step in quickly and efficiently.

How do you know when to step in versus stay hands-off?

Most people  feel awkward in front of a camera: that’s normal. My job is to create a calm presence so you forget I’m there, and to gently guide you only when needed.

What if we’re awkward or don’t know how to pose?

I always provide an estimated range, but the final number is shaped by the flow of the day: things like timeline, guest count, lighting, and how events unfold. I prioritize quality over quantity, focusing on meaningful moments rather than inflating numbers.

How many photos will we receive, and what determines that number?

Absolutely. Portrait time is relaxed and fun, but I do take a more editorial approach here, which means a bit more guidance with posing and movement. I always keep things light, and the amount of time we spend on portraits is completely up to your comfort level.

Will we still get portraits if your approach is documentary?

I’m based in the Atlanta area and regularly photograph weddings throughout Georgia. I’m always open to travel. Whether that’s a nearby city or a destination wedding—and travel details are handled clearly and upfront.
